Don’t leave the road without the correct recovery points on your Tacoma. I initially bought the passenger set up and now have installed both. This way I can use a bridal and split the stress. Used two times in last two years which makes the purchase a bargain.

I installed the passenger side BPF HD Tacoma Recovery Point on my 2023 TRD Off-Road first, and like it so much that I added one to the driver's side. I have the TRD front skid plate, and the recovery point install was very easy for both sides.
Not to difficult. Only challenge is threading the locking nut on the bolt in the drilled hole. Unless you have long fingers this can be challenging. Watch and re-watch the video section where they do this and it will make sense. Don't forget to put the washer in first. Once done it looks great.
I first purchased the passenger side a couple years ago just so I could have at least one front recovery point. It performed well, but adding the driver side gives you more options and also gives you the opportunity for a much more even pull.
BPF did an awesome job with these recovery points and at a reasonable price. They're quite sturdy and the fit and finish is excellent. They honestly look like what Toyota should have included in the first place.
I have seen some concerns in the forums as to the strength of the subframe where these recovery points attach. This is interesting considering this is the same subframe location Toyota used for their factory recovery hook on the TRD Off-road.
My experience has been very good and I haven't heard of anyone reporting a failure with these. But as with anything, be smart about how you decide to use them.
